An incredibly enthusiastic, intelligent, visionary, and motivated young woman, Abigail Harrison is setting her sites on being the first astronaut to land on Mars. Starting in 5th grade with the GEMS program (Girls in Engineering, Mathematics and Science) to being invited as guest blogger for NASA’s ISS blog, corresponding with Italian astronaut Luca Parmatano, and attending the legendary Russian Soyuz space launch as a VIP guest, Abby is well on her way. Currently, she juggles dual high school and college courses, gymnastics, blogging, and public appearances. With a deep appreciation for space exploration of the past, Abby has already embraced its future.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Una ragazza aspirante astronauta per Marte; quando si sogna insieme in grande, poi si agisce insieme in grande e si cambia il mondo in grande!!
E’ la mentalità della nostra Arcanave che vi aggiunge oltre al Marte fisico-pianeta, il Marte interiore collettivo da raggiungere. Marte per gli antichi greci era il Dio della guerra; qui diventa il dio della guerra contro tutte le guerre e mali dell’umanità, da combattere con la stessa determinazione e spirito di sacrificio avuto da tutti i soldati nelle guerre contro violenti invasori, da tutti i cercatori di conoscenza di tutte le epoche , da tutte le persone che in un modo hanno portato l’umanità al punto che è adesso per gli aspetti positivi a scapito di quelli negativi.
Ed allora insieme all’Arcanave prepariamoci per la conquista del Marte fisico ed interiore e per questosaremo ‘mentalmente’ connessi, sempre tra 21.30-22 mercoledì 6 maggio.
